Getting closer to the end of the course, things got more interesting. That's right. A BALL WITH LEGS. Oh yeah. Oh god I dropped my professionalism, please stand by. I was actually pretty ecstatic about the legs. It was definitely a necessary starting animation before moving on to a human model in Maya with all the limbs and such. Out of the two programs Blender and Maya, I much prefer Maya. It was easy to work with and created very fluid animations in a short amount of time. Unfortunately, the premise was another ball. I wasn't very excited about it, but it was all about practice and understanding. So I got the job done. [2017 Digipen Beginners Art and Animation Course]
Possible one of my favorite animations I had done during the two week course at Digipen. I was extremely enthusiastic about moving on from a circle (no offense you spherical wonder) and completed this anticipaction, arc, and weight practice in no time. I got done so early that I went a little overboard and experimented with turning the sacks 'head' in awe over it's graceful leap. [2017 Digipen Beginners Art and Animation Course]
This was a fun concept in class. The idea was to create an obstacle course that incorporated the Playdough. There are parts of the animation that are very iffy to me but I enjoy the recoil of the ball too much to not appreciate the good aspects of this simplistic animation. Basically, the traditional version of the playdough arc bounce. it may not seem like it, but this is more difficult due to having to keep the consistency of how large and round the ball is during each frame. You don't want it do suddenly become larger or smaller in a separate frame or else that would destroy the animation from this angle. If it was bouncing towards you, that'd be an entirely different story. [2017 Digipen Beginners Art and Animation Course]
Playing around with the squash and stretch factor of animation combined with what I had learned previously from the amount of frames used for speed. [2017 Digipen Beginners Art and Animation Course]
My first attempt to grasp the concept of the ideal amount of frames to use to create a realistic bounce. The object of movement is a simple black button on the other side of my frame notes. [2017 Digipen Beginners Art and Animation Course]
